The program was a part of the serie which focuses on scientific development of the Islamic world. Istanbul University, Science Faculty, Astronomy and Space Sciences Department was introduced in this context.

As the first observatory of the Rebuplican Period, Istanbul University Observatory was mentioned in the program as well. Especially, 83 year-old Zeiss telescope which is located in the historical dome is described and the efforts of the Astronomy Department to keep it operational was emphasized.

Besides the astronomy department and the observatory of Istanbul University, important developments related to astronomy and space in Turkey were mentioned. Investments required to keep astronomy in the frontier research fields in Turkey were strongly emphasized.
